ABOUT US
We are a small but mighty collection of thinkers, dreamers, and creatives.
Our story all began with an idea. We wanted to launch a business, turning a hobby into something more.
Laura, the founder of Creative Club Brighton is a Brighton local and highly creative individual. She dreamed of a place by the sea where people could gather, experiment, and create just for the joy of it. With experience teaching in London and Oxford, where she delivered a range of creative courses, Laura combines her professional expertise with a passion for making art accessible to all. A graduate of Goldsmiths, University of London, with a strong background in art education, she has worked extensively with SEND and neurodiverse students, creating inclusive and supportive learning environments.
With a few borrowed tables, stacks of magazines, and a dream, Creative Club Brighton was born. Laura began small, hosting collage nights at a pizzeria inviting friends to cut, paste, and chat over slices of pizza. Word spread quickly, and soon strangers became friends, united by a love of making things with their hands. Brighton, with its eclectic energy and artistic soul, felt like the perfect home for something bigger.
Laura believes that everyone, regardless of ability or experience, deserves the opportunity to explore and express their imagination.
Today, Creative Club Brighton is more than just a workshop, itβs a community. A welcoming space for artists, beginners, and everyone in between to experiment and to learn a new skill.
Since starting, we have already worked with a handful of organisations including The Walrus, Platf9rm, Waves of Brighton, The Mum Club Brighton, Brighton Girls Club, The Roundhill Pub, Hello My Moon and Puzzle Bored.
And as long as there are ideas to explore and hands ready to create, the club will keep growing. One workshop, one laugh, and one masterpiece at a time.
